Hi folks: I'm trying to use 8 cameras with DMC Standard v2, and I was wondering if anybody has successfully done this. If so, what hardware did you have to use to make it work (motherboard models, specific USB3 cards, etc.). Thanks, Michael |

Hi folks: I hit a temporary dead-end on 8 camera usage. My current motherboard won't support another USB3 card, so I'll have to upgrade my motherboard to get it to work. Debating the finances. I had an opportunity to mocap some professional dancers recently, and was hoping to use 8 cameras for dual-person mocap. If I get a contract to do mocap for dual-person, I'll upgrade the motherboard then. Letcha know when I make the upgrade, Michael |

This thread outlines what hardware we were able to get 8 cameras running with: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6824 You may be able to get more than 2 cameras per usb3 card, the bandwidth of USB3 is way greater than that of 2.0. Also, have the cameras write to a ram disk instead of your hard drive. |
