I know the PS Eyes are capable of 120+ FPS (actually 187 FPS with the advanced config file) but iPi Recorder doesn't use it due to grainy/lossy issues, however this would be HUGE for me for non-mocap reasons. I use iPi Recorder at 60 FPS for mocap but would love it at 120-180 FPS for other purposes (basic video analysis). Is this at all possible to enable? |

We do not expose higher frame rate modes for PS Eye in iPi Recorder specifically due to the poor image quality not suitable for our mocap purposes. Maybe the products from Code Laboratories can help you. They are the authors of original PS Eye driver for PC. |

Is there any chance you could either open source iPi Recorder v1 or re-brand it to do the following: 4 camera capture Supports full range of FPS modes on PSEye (up to 187 FPS) Export 4 camera feeds to 1 combined video in AVI I would gladly pay for this application or would help you write the code to make this happen. This is the EXACT software I have been looking for in combination with iPi Studio (for two different reasons). All that needs to be changed in iPi Recorder v1 is to allow greater frame rate. Maybe it's just a small change? That would be perfect. Hope you consider it. Thank you. |
