As many here know, I've been a long time user of iPi Mocap Studio (formerly DMC), having used it since the initial beta releases. I'm glad that the software just keeps getting better and better over time and within reason, it usually just does what I expect it to do. I'm occasionally surprised that it does something right when I expected it to fail. Today, for example, I recorded a action using dual Kinect, and I stepped way too close to the devices and both my feet were completely cut off almost to the knees--and yet, iPi Mocap Studio continued to track this motion perfectly! My guess is that the software was able to 'see' just enough of my leg to make a good judgement about where my feet should be, plus, it knew where the ground was of course. Smart program! Other feature that impressed me--the new file editing tools in Recorder. I was aware of these before but didn't get to really using them until the other day. It's very useful that I can immediately append a file's name to include codes and notes (like CAL for calbration, or descriptions like Punch, Fall, Guitar, etc.) Being able to drag and drop videos directly from a folder and into the Player window is very useful too. To the staff at iPi Soft, thank you for all your cleverness and hard efforts, and please keep up the great work guys! Well, gotta back to mo' mocappin'! :D G. |
