I play with the thoughts to buy ipi motion capturs standart edition, especially with the christmas discount. I plan to use 8 ps eye cams for best precision and 2 person mocap. I need this mocap for a first person game with a lot person interaction. The game will be made in Unity. For this a very good and precise mocap is crucial. Multi person mocap is also very important. I know that ipi mocap is not a solution for everything like finger mocap and facial animation. For face animation I will go with another software and put a animation mask on my character face. I have to animate fingers in ipi mocap because a dataglove is to expansive or too much work for a indie developer to set up. I know to ask for alternatives in an ipisoft forum is a bad idea, but I want to make sure that I buy the right product for my project. What advantages do ipisoft have compared to other home made mocap solutions? Is ipisoft the best software for mocap for under 1000$ with the christmas discount? Does ipisoft has the best precision? It would be nice to hear from people who tried other software for mocap. |
