So I get the whole refit and track and refine etc. I usually get some pretty good stuff my issue is when something is off for the entire capture. Albeit it probably isn't off but the tracking is, I get the whole refit track yada yada.

But when something has been made to track probably as best it can I know I can go in and edit it frame by frame to line a few things up when they are off.

However is there a way to lock an IK or move or rotation in a location relative to the skeleton for that ROI? Can I set this up for a period of time and then release it when I want to and then re-clamp it back down again.

I think this is perhaps what the strobe is for but maybe this is where I am lacking.

Why? Because going frame by frame for 200 frames to adjust something in every frame is just mind numbingly depressing to do for 200 frames per capture.

Hi
I have not fully understand your needs.

If you need to apply a specific relative rotation, say, for a limb in a number of frames, then you can use commands from the "Edit" menu.
  • Copy Pose of Selected Bone
  • Copy Pose of Selected Bone with Children
  • Copy Pose of Selected Bone's Children
  • Paste Pose within ROI

Or do you need to retrack some limb in a number of frames after doing "Refit Pose", and want the tracker to avoid touching other parts of the skeleton? That is, effectively "locking" some body parts during tracking. This feature is planned for V3.

I think you answered my questions and I will have to try this later today and see how it works.

I am a little concerned now. I quite literally just made the purchase of the software 3 days ago. How long till you plan on releasing ver 3? Will I get it for free?

V3 is going to be released this summer, most probably tied to the public release of Kinect 2 for Windows sensor.
However, not all the planned features will be included in the initial release of V3, some will be provided with subsequent minor updates.

As for update to V3. Usually we set some time frame for purchases to be eligible for a free update to newer version. Other customers get about 50% discount to purchase licenses for new version. Specific terms for the upcoming update will be shaped closer to the release date.
