Hi folks: I'm gearing up for dance season again, and I'm upgrading my equipment to capture 2 dancers. So, please, anybody with 2 person capture experience can you share your experience and input? Question 1: is it possible to capture w/ 6 PS Move controllers (3/person)? If so, do I need multiple bluetooth dongles/controllers? ipisoft recommends 6 PS Move controllers, but there's not much technical info here: http://wiki.ipisoft.com/Getting_started ... ple_actors My current new system has the following specs: i7 - 6 processor core CPU (12-threads) 24 GB ram Nvidia GTX660 video card 256 GB SD drive (for video) 3 TB hard drive (system and offload capture videos) 1 onboard USB3 card 3 USB3 addon cards I've successfully tested the 8-camera capture with the PS eye cameras and 60fps. I have not used my 3 PS Move controllers at the same time yet. Regards, Michael |

The limit set by Bluetooth specs is 7 devices for a single BT adapter. The actual number may vary depending on the specific model of BT adapter. For example, my ASUS USB-BT211 handles 4 PS Moves and 1 Wii Remote (I just don't have more controllers by hand to test). If you can't get all 6 working on a single BT dongle, then you can use 2 dongles. In that case, you should switch to Motion in Joy drivers, as Microsoft BT stack supports only one BT adapter. Regarding performance, using many PS Moves alongside 8 cameras is not a problem, because they produce much less data than even a single camera. |

Thanks Vasili: I'll see if I can get 6 move controllers to work with my current bluetooth dongle. If not, I'll follow your suggestions. Michael |

I just ordered some more PS3 move controllers and other items for my second dancer. Results when I have them. Amazon is almost giving away PS3 cameras... Michael |
