Hello everybody, I am new to ipisoft and would like to benefit of the community experience. I have to make capture of various motions of an actor with high heels. Has anybody done that before ? How did you proceed and what kind of result did you get ? Than you in advance for your help. |

I don't have experience with 'high heel' mocap but I suspect the result of the capture with Mocap Studio would be feet flat on the ground. If what you're trying to capture is the gait of a person walking in high heels, I think it's possible to capture that but the foot position will most likely need to be adjusted in the 3D animation program of your choice. Ipisoft technical support suggested to do the tpose feet flat on the floor, but then put the high heel on and do the shoot of the scene. I am not sure that if we put an animation of an actor with flat feet it will work to a high heel 3d character (even after being retargeted). I'll keep searching and if we find something interesting I'll come back to show you. If anyone else has an idea and/or experience I keep being interested. |
