I have been impressed with Ipisoft however i have a problem with sliding feet / levitating character model that is proving difficult to correct.

See the below video that demonstrates how the feet are not anchored to the floor. This makes it look like the character is suspended by cables above the floor. The animation is the character standing still and pointing in a direction with the left hand.

I originally was recoding using the Kinect but moved to the PS Eye and noticed reduced feet jitter and overall better quality mocap. I think that i have done as much as i can in Ipisoft to correct the feet and have been attempting to clean the animation using motionbuilder and adjusting Fcurves, using aux effectors and adding keyframes to the feet. However i am still unable to correct this levitating problem.

I believe this would be a common issue with mocap and would appreciate any advice in how to correct this problem.

Thanks in advance

Is it possible that your actor's height is set too short? This is an issue I've encountered and my solution has been to make the actor a little taller than normal to bring the feet in closer contact with the ground, which can make the feet more stable. It's not too uncommon for me to vary the actor height during tracking to improve feet contact with the ground, especially when the action goes from extremes like crouching, standing and jumping.

This is generally true when I'm performing the motions myself--I think proportionately, my legs are are a little shorter than what Mocap Studio expects. This issue may go away in iPi Mocap Studio 3, which I believe will feature more fully adjustable actors.
