I don't get it. I have Ipisoft version 2 Basic which allows the use of 2 Kinect cameras. I paid mucho dineros for it. It's pretty good, though, but it doesn't allow head rotations and wrist rotations. Now, I'm being asked to shell out $500 a year (only $345 for a limited time) and I only get to use ONE Kinect camera? Are we going to pay to regress instead of progressing? Please somebody explain this to me because I don't get it. I believe I would be stupid if I upgrade to version 3 until it allows for the use of 2 Kinect cameras. |

AGREED !!! We do not know, if how and when 2 kinects will be possible (I work with 3 kinects) Another question is : What will the subscription cost in 2015 / 2016 ? Do You have an idea of an alternative to ipisoft ? IS there or will be an open source project ? |

Exactly, as far as I am aware, the USB 3/SDK will allow only one Kinect2 and must be run on Win 8-8.1, they just released the drivers for Windows Kinect2 a few weeks ago and its bandwidth for current machine USB 3 is high. Microsoft is very aware of the request of multi-sensors per machine but the PCI bus on current generation hardware simply can't handle it. Maybe a dual machine capability in the future. Info. from iPi states as of now in Feature Details at bottom of store page: * Both Kinect for Xbox One and Kinect 2 for Windows are supported. Currently only single Kinect 2 sensors is supported, this is limitation imposed by Microsoft Kinect 2 SDK. As soon as we implement distributed recording, you will be able record with several Kinect 2 sensors using several PCs. (2014) implementation. So, if you want multi-Kinect2, have or shell out for another machine and it's yet to be seen or tested as to how well it will work, but this is the only way anyone will have a chance at using 2 or more Kinects2, until MS allows it and computers get substantially better. |

Thanks for your explanation. I have a dual-socket motherboard (PCI Express 3.0) with 2 Xeon CPUs for a total of 24 logical cores. I also have USB 3.0. I don't see why Microsoft doesn't implement the use of 2 Kinects. My computer would certainly be able to handle them both. |

I have no idea, other than they just don't want to, even for those computers that could possibly handle it, but developers like iPi and Brekel are trying the multi-comp work-around. I am taking it you are running Win 8.1 also, that's another issue for me as I won't upgrade to Win 8, waiting for next version, whenever that may come out, I hear Win 10 is out in beta, but no one will have programs compatible for a year probably. Also upgrading will cause a whole restructure of my hardware and not ready to do that just yet. Camera based Mocap will soon be obsolete anyway, with products like Perception Neuron coming out shortly, so I am just waiting to see some test files on their final product release, due out for consumer purchase about Feb, 2015 (projected). It comes with a free editing and a full subscription based (ugh) editing program. It's WiFi and can run on a very low powered computer at ranges exceding 90m outdoors, so I dont see how camera mocap will be of any use any longer. Cost for sensors, hub, and straps as projected now will be in the range of $1000 and I have that now tied up in iPi. So, I will use iPi until it is obsolete to me and move on. Good luck with the multi-Kinect set-up. |

I just got my new computer. I haven't had the chance to do any motion capture yet. But that should happen in the next few days. I will let you know. |

For the tracking: Processing time per frame: average .85 second Frames per second: average 1.15 frames For the jitter removal: Processing time per frame: average 1 second Frames per second: average 1 frame |
