I'm using the two Kinect One configuration with the Kinects 180 degrees apart. We have many motions to capture and each motion is taking a very long time to run the tracking step. With a brand new laptop with dual GForce 980m's and an i7 processor the tracking step is running at 1.5 frames per second. (The laptop is the highest end laptop that Digital Storm sells). Since it is capturing at 30 fps that means that it is tracking at 20 times slower than real time. We tried the instructions to run with two GPUs and there was no improvement. I'm currently running the tracking algorithm and then I turn on the jitter removal filter and run it again. We get good results but the cost is so much time. So are there any suggestions for how we can speed up our throughput of motions? A friend suggested trying the Sony camera configuration but I wonder what other people are seeing. Scott |

Please take a screenshot of Manage GPU Usage dialog in Mocap Studio (menu Help > Manage GPU Usage). FYI, using PS Eye cameras (4 or more) would only increase processing time. |
