Hello, I just got my kinect drivers up and running but I've run into a problem in ipisoft recorder. Ipisoft is recognizing my kinect as an audio device for some reason. It also includes my computers microphone as a device to pick. I've gone into my device m,anager and disabled the audio driver for the kinect, but then it just disappears, and I can't select it. Somebody please help, thank you! |

Hi What exact Kinect device do you use? Kinect v1 or v2, for XBOX or for Windows? What drivers for Kinect have you installed? Kinect SDK? Which version? Does Kinect work in any other programs, e.g. sample apps from Kinect SDK? FYI, audio devices are shown in iPi Recorder to allow sound recording along with video. |

I use the version 1 for xbox 360. I've installed the default drivers for the kinect. It does not work with the program FAAST (If you've heard of it) it says I might be missing some drivers, but Ive installed all of the default drivers and its not working for that or ipisoft. :/ Im not really sure how to fix this, so If you could help, that would be great. Thanks |

What do you mean by "default drivers"? iPi Recorder works with Kinect 1 through Kinect SDK 1.8. Please provide the log from iPi Recorder - press the button in the top-right corner. |
