Hello,

I've been testing the iPisoft mocap solutions a couple of days and it really rocks!
However one problem remains - I've tried to tweak the environment, the actor/scene preferences, the position/angle/distance of my kinect360 but the background and the actor/character is keep leaning backwards a bit. I'm a bit puzzled now and just wondering what could be a possible cause for this error(?).

Any tips would be appriciated, thank you in advance!

Regards,

Zoltan

Hi
It looks like the floor is not detected properly. Usually this happens when there is not much floor visible to a camera.
To resolve the issue, ensure that at least 1/6 part of the image is occupied by floor surface. Depending on your conditions, it may simply be required to tilt the sensor down slightly, or to move things around to clear the floor.

Hi,

thank you for the quick answer! I've read a lots of forum posts and tried to set up my 'studio' as much as I can. Also did the sensor tilting, sadly the issue remains.

Finally a solution appeared. I've got a spare kinect360 (I only use one at the moment for recording).

Everything worked as it should when I replaced the one I did the experiments with the spare one. All the variables are the same, except the kinect360. Strange indeed, but this was the solution.

Thank you again, I'll keep the 'min. 1/6 part' rule in mind in the future! :)
