Hi, Did anybody used the Kinect for Xbox one with Microsoft surface pro4 and recording with iPisoft recorder? If so, can you tell me more about what do I need to install? Best regards |

I don't have a Surface Pro but I have a Wacom Cintiq Companion 2, which I think is a similar Windows tablet computer, and it handles a single XBox One/Kinect 2 effortlessly. The computer is an i7 and it uses Intel Iris 6100 graphics. I use it along with two desktop computers for multi-XBox One capture. I think the key is having the faster processor. I tried using my daughter's HP convertible laptop/tablet computer which has an i5 processor. I can make it work but compared to the i7 tablet, this one seems to struggle a bit to maintain the full frame rate. If the tablet has a USB 3.0 port, all you need is the XBox One/Kinect 2 adapter cable. If you're doing multi-XBox One capture with networked computers like I am, I highly recommend getting the tablet connecting with ethernet. Wifi transfer will work for compiling the footage on the master computer but it's very slow by comparison. BTW, I use the Wacom tablet computer only for capture with Recorder, not for processing with Mocap Studio. For processing, I still prefer the desktop using a fully compliant Nvidia GTX graphics card. TBH, I don't know if Mocap Studio will work with the Iris chipset. It has a GPU and is DirectX 11 compatible but I've never tested it with Mocap Studio. I guess I can check that maybe this weekend. Will report here when I have more info. Hope this helps. |
