| Post subject: | Video to Motion |
Hi all, I am new to ipi and depth to motion and i have a question regarding video solves. I have multiple cameras in a virtual rig using a screenspace shader that renders depth almost identical to the way the kinect does just from digital assets rather than real-world video. I wanted to take the video that i captured from these virtual cameras and solve the depth in ipi, is this possible and if so how would i go about this? So i basically want to do a kinect depth solve without actually using kinects but using the same depth information rendered out to video files. From what i have seen in ipi's settings it seems to require a kinect be connected and i couldn't find any options to just import video files exported from the kinect with depth from taken from multiple angles. Thanks in advance! |

Hi iPi Mocap Studio supports video in iPiVideo format only. iPiVideo files are recorded with iPi Recorder from real cameras. |

Ok, thanks for the quick response! So since that is the case, can i record from any camera via ipi recorder or does it have to be a Kinect/PSEye? Say if i wanted to record my screen with a standard digital camera with ipi recorder would that be possible? Obviously it wouldn't be ideal but for my current project i don't need high quality. vmaslov wrote: Hi
