I haven't dug into the forums to know if this was already answered. If it is let me know where... Does wearing supremely contrast colors have a good effect when recording with PS3 cameras? I'm talking really contrast. Like hot pink sneakers, neon green long sleeve shirt with purple sleeves, and black pants.. I've done tracking wearing a medium-blue long sleeve shirt with dark blue sleeves. I've never seen results in a recording that track a whole lot different that what might be considered a safe and balanced color of all clothes and shoes and skin. All somewhat contrast to the world but not hot pink level of audacity in shoes versus white sneakers. Has anyone who uses the PS3 camera setup tried high contrast garments in recording? Did it make things better or a lot worse. Imagine every limb has different contrast but it's really high. Let me know if you have and should I not even try? |

We recommend dark saturated colors because they minimize self-shadows effect. With bright contrast clothes you'll have bigger color difference, but self-shadows will spoil this effect. Ideally, you need different colors for torso, arms, pants, shoues and head (cap or hair). You can use dark-blue, dark-green, dark-red, black, dark-brown colors. |
