Hi,
Im selling my Ipi studio system that consist in:
1, Ipi studio 2 eternal license
2. Ps3 cameras x8
3. Ps move x3. two of these ps moves are attached to gloves and one is attached to a helmet structure, this is
usefull to track wrists and head rotation
4. Lots of Usb USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Active Extension
5. Rail x4 to drill on walls and mount 4 cameras at the highest altitude
I strongly recommend to put 4 cameras at the highest altitude of the room in every corner and 4 cameras at
ground level in every corner also, so this way you cover everything. The 4 cameras at ground level helps a lot for
good legs tracking.
6. T-shirts x2 one short sleeve green teacher and one black long sleeve t-shirt. You wear first the black long
sleeve t-shirt and on top you wear the green sleeve t-shirt, this way Ipi studio can see that the chest area is
separated from the arms. You can then just put jeans and use diferent color shoes.
7. One PCI mini USB 3 Card , this way you have 2 extra usb controllers. Normally a pc has 2 usb2 controllers(this is
not the same as having USB plugs/slots) these 2 usb2 controllers are capable to handle 4 ps3 cams at their
highest frame rate ,60fps. with this card you have 2 extra usb3 controllers so you can connect 2 more cameras
so far you have 6 cameras working fine. My pc mainboard has 2 in-built usb3 controllers, plus the 2 usb2
controllers and this usb3 card, Im able to run 8 ps3 cams perfectly, so make sure your mainboard has in-built
usb3.

Im offering everything you need to be able to make professional motion capture. The cost is 1000USD plus shipping. I can ship any place in the world. If there is anybody interested, I will post pictures of the things Im offering and a video showing me making motion capture with my system.

Please be aware that selling a license to another person is prohibited by EULA, and this is common practice for all software.
iPi Soft will only support licenses purchased directly at our website or from official resellers.

Hello Pas,
Im actually trying to sell an entire system. Ipi studio 2 is not sold anymore and I will only transfer the license if that is ok with you. The reason is because now I own an optitrack system and I think it would be nice to give some indy or small company the oportunity to make proffesional motion capture. Allow me to give someone the oportunity to have this amazing mocap solution, remember Im offering an applicatin that is not sold anymore and also the equipment to make it work.

Well, I'm afraid we can't do that, as it would be unfair to other customers.
But as soon as all owners of v2 or v1 can get 50% discount for 1-year subscription to v3, we can offer this to a person who takes you offer.

We actually are not in a position to fordbid you selling your system.
I just meant that transfering or selling a license to other person is not allowed by EULA.
But you can get 50% discount code for 1-year v3 license, and you're free to pass it to anybody.

now I own an optitrack system

Hi
Would you mind to answer several question regarding your experience with iPi Motion Capture?
Did you specifically look for another mocap solution because you were not satisfied with iPi Motion Capture?
If yes, what are the main drawbacks you may list?
Maybe you could compare OptiTrack with iPi? What do you like better in which solution?

hello vmaslov,
of course I would like to ask your questions and thanks for undersatnding by the way.
1. Did you specifically look for another mocap solution because you were not satisfied with iPi Motion Capture?
It`s not that I wasnt satisfy with Ipi Studio. It`s just that is not realtime and I just dont want to spend money in expensive graphic cards to make the tracking faster.
2. If yes, what are the main drawbacks you may list?
Well the main and I think only Drawback is that is not realtime, and the fact that it takes a lot of time to track an animation, having said that let me tell you that I consider Ipi studio one of the best Mocap solutions, Why? because you were smart to allow the use of the ps3 cameras with its 75 fov, this is very helpful to use in small spaces. I started to use Ipi studio with only 4 cameras, then I went to 8 and it was so exciting, I can only imagine what could I do with 16 ps3 cameras, but I dont own version 3 and to be prefectly honest the suscription mode that you went since version 3 it`s a huge let down because once the year or 3 years passes well it`s bye bye license and let me tell you time passes really fast, please dont take this in the wrong way, it`s not my intention to offend anyone. Like I said, Ipi studio is really amazing, you have put in one software evrything in order to make full motion capture, you can even animate fingers , creatign finger poses it`s really wonderful and im talking about version 2, I beleieve version 3 is even more powerful.
3. Maybe you could compare OptiTrack with iPi? What do you like better in which solution?
Im just finishsing installing Optitrack system, just got the wand this morning, I know exactly what optitrack does without even use it yet. I know it will have its drwabacks cause the lens is not as wide as the ps3 cams so i wont have much space as Ipi, but it`s real time and the license is forever. I also expect the tracking to be better, it is suppose to be better in terms of animation tracking, I hope, but again, I consider Ipi studio a really good solution. I also woould like to let you know that I own a 32 neruron Perception Neuron kit. Also real time, at first it has lots of problems but these problems are solved by just learning how to use the suit properly. Perception Neuron will be useful to me because im not restricted to a performance area, i can go wherever I want via wifi and it works like a charm, so in the end I will mix both Optitrack and perception neuron. I think guys the next step for Ipi Studio should be real time and please if you can go back to perpetual licensing that would be nice.

Sorry for the long post, I hope this can clear some things and bring new better things in the future. Im not close to come back to Ipi depends on changes in the future. It woudl be nice to have 3 mocap solutions that i can combine to create different options for animation.

Best Regards
wicq
