I have Skylake i5 laptop (Windows 10) with (2) USB 3.0 ports & (1) USB-C port. What would be the best choice of cameras setup to be able to capture performance? (and I could process it on my desktop with 1060 GTX afterward) Thanks |

Hi With this laptop only then your options are
Dual Kinect v2 would be better than Kinect v1 but you'll need 2 PCs to handle them due to limitation in MS Kinect SDK. Practically any modern laptop including low-end ones can handle Kinect v2. I cannot tell for sure what number of PS Eyes your laptop will handle. From my practice modern Intel USB 3.0 controllers used in laptops can handle 4 cameras (you need to use USB hubs to get enough USB ports). As it's also got USB-C port I guess there is a separate USB 3.1 controller for it. And it might handle another 2 cameras, but this depends on USB compatibility. I've not tested PS Eyes with USB 3.1 controllers yet. You did not specify which drive is used in the laptop. I would recommend an SSD if it is the only drive. |

Oh, I was hoping that dual Kinect v2 on one PC is possible already :( The laptop has 8Gb of RAM and SSD (128Gb I think). I could probably just copy recorded sessions to external HDD just to keep enough free space on SSD for current sessions. |
