Dear experts, Is there any way(return value or event, etc.) that can tell me the tracking quality after running track-forward command with iPi Automation Add-on? That is to say, after the automation tracking job completed, how can I know the tracking result is good enough or I need to record or retrack again. Such as, losed tracking one hand or one foot. I do appreciate you can share any experience on this. Thanks. So far, my method is just playing the video with bones, find out the big differce between actor and bones manually. This way is not productive for the automation workflow. Best regards, Shawn |

Hi Unfortunately, the program does not detect tracking failures automatically. If it did, it would just correct them as well :) Therefore, currently you need to look for failures with your eyes, either watching the tracking process or playing back the results after the tracking is finished. Some idea of tracking quality may be obtained by looking at "Pose Mismatch" value for a frame - lower values correspond to better quality. You can see these values by activating View > Pose Mismatch menu, or in arguments of refit-pose-finished event after the refit-pose command in Automation addon. However, there is no point in direct comparison of mismatch values between different projects and often even between different frames of a single project. "Automation" does not mean the program works in fully autonomous mode, not requiring supervision from a user. It means that the program can be controlled externally, without direct manipulations with UI. Please also look at batch processing feature of Mocap Studio, maybe it's better suited for your needs. |
