I would like to create a setup using 6 PlayStation Eye Cameras and 3 PlayStation Move Controllers.
I'm using a 15" MacBook Pro 2016 running Windows 10 under Boot Camp, that has 4 USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports. As far as I can tell, there are 2 USB controllers, handling 2 ports each. I would like to use 2 USB-C to USB-A 3.0 hubs with 3 or 4 ports each to connect the cameras (each hub on a separate controller). Each camera would also be connected to a 4-5 meter passive USB 3.0 extension cable. Additionally, I would like to use the integrated Bluetooth adapter to capture data from the 3 PlayStation Move Controllers.

Would this setup work, or are there any limitations I'm overseeing?

Unfortunately, we had not tested PS Eyes with Thunderbolt controllers so cannot tell for sure how many cameras can be handled. I suppose the number is not less than 4 at 60 fps - the same as recent Intel's combined USB 2.0/3.0 controllers. Maybe more, but you have to check this yourself unless some other Mac user emerges to help you here. Anyway you should be able to connect 6 cameras at least at lower frame rate of 40-50 fps.
We do not recommend to use passive USB extension cables of more than 3m length in total as there is a high chance of signal loss/delay/distortion in this case. Please use active USB 2.0 extensions when you need greater length. There is no sense in using USB 3.0 cables as PS Eye is an USB 2.0 device, and USB 3.0 has much tighter limitations on connection length than USB 2.0.

There should be no problem with PS Move controllers as long as BT adapter is backward compatible with 2.1 EDR mode.
