Hi guys, this is my first post in this forum, so I take the chance to say hello to everybody at iPi Soft. You are doing a great work! I am following up the topic of "2-Actor capture" by expanding it to the n-actors scenario. In terms of modelling and simulation of a whole theatrical performance it would be great to have the iPi framework with an indefinite number of actors at the same time and without populating the scenario with lots of cameras (just a fair amount to cover all view angles). How hard that would be? Is it in your development plans? |

Hi, That would be a very ambitious expectation even for many high end motion capture systems. iPi Studio is aimed at entry level users with limited space and consumer-level equipment, so I don't think we'll be seeing that. Personally, I would be very satisfied when the iPi system fully captures just one person. You can always choreograph multiple performances in a decent 3D package. G. |

Thank you very much indeed for your reply. Somehow I was expecting this type of answer and I cannot really say that I am disappointed. It is nice to have a confirmation anyway. At least we know now that to capture more than one actor we need to throw in more cameras and synch the data acquired by different platforms, more or less independently. Thanks again Cheers |
