I been using the Kinect and one problem is if I turn my body to 45 degrees to the camera and do a running motion, any time my hand and arm furthest away from the camera loses tracking when the hand and arm closest block the Kinects view. But the rest of the actor tracks fine. This is not a blip for one or a few frames, but once the tracking is lost it never seems to find a match to my performance. I can move the actor's arm and hand close to my performance by rotating the actor joints and retrofit pose to get a match. DMC is not setup for this frame by frame clean up. So I need some changes.

1) Arrow keys that activate frame forward and frame back.

2) A copy and paste pose buttons near the retrofit pose. Or keyboard shortcuts for all three.

This way I can track a second time and move arms and hands when is loses tracking because the camera has lost is view for a few frames.

Just curious but how well does it handle running directly into the camera, avoiding occlusion?

I'm going to try to do some tests myself soon if I don't fall asleep first. :)

We'll be working on this or similar optimizations in future versions, but it is hard to predict how much time it will take, since a lot of testing and R&D is involved.

Sometimes tracking backwards helps, you can also use joint limits features to get better bends in elbows and knees so that it tracks more acurately on wayward frames.
