I've just come over your software, it looks really nice and the wiki has some really useful information!

My question is the following: I would like to use some kind of real-time tracking technology to track a human's head from either cameras or Kinect sensors. As far as I understand your software doesn't support such application, mostly because of processing limitations (like GTX 580 doing 2 fps).

What I would like to ask is that would it be possible to make your software at least partially real time and export data over network for example using OSC (Open Sound Control, nice standard for real-time communication of small data).

What I thought is the following: do calibration offline, get camera's position and everything set up. After that point, some kind of limited processing (like the best guess for a head) could be done in real-time. Is it not possible?

Also, if there is no other solution but for me to write my own software, at least are the camera positions exportable from iPi DMC? Is iPi using some human readable formats for storing camera positions?

Realtime tracking is not on our roadmap yet. If you are interested in head/face tracking only, you may find useful one of the products listed in the post http://forum.ipisoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6041&p=11168#p11168
