Yes, Wi-Fi has not been optimal in precise data transfer use, i.e. dropouts, even if for any amount of time it is bad and depending on what unknown interference is in the recording area.
It may not affect the tracking process much with iPi if this occurs, depending on length of drops, but iPi recorder usually detects camera drops and stops the recording and that cameras recording will fail, thus interrupting the process if all cameras are on one machine, or loss of that cams video from point of failure, if used with the distributed recording process now in iPi Recorder 3.
The multiple step process of combining videos through a slave machine may work, but still isn't optimal through Wi-Fi data transfer.
It would be nice if someone could develop a reliable driver for the PS4 Cams and an adapter for the PC to get better video resolution.
