I am using the latest Beta version, it will not expire, as i 've purchased it.I only succeed to capture motion with 1 camera that doen't need calibration.calibration in this version , to me , is still painful.
Even after achieving calibrated camera positions.i am never able to proper , mark ground.
The first and second mark always work fine, however the third one scrambles and mess camera positions and (quite frustrating)
making hard work useless unless you at least, saved the project.before trying to mark groud points.
Is this a bug ?
I can send my logitech 9000 videos , calibration and performance if needed.maybe there is something wrong with them.
and most of my calibration stumbles on scale issues even with camera heights correctly achieved.
also , and this is a real bold question.How do you guys manage to fix logitech webcams on tripod ? that would help a lot.Are you aware of any adaptor.please, any Help would be apreciated.

In my first couple tries, I had the same problem with the third ground mark. But for my third calibration effort, I focused on making a really big "triangle" with those three marks, and that seemed to work much better. I also found it easier with 3 cams than 2. And it helped to fill each cam's entire field of view with green dots doing the calibration video; that proved harder than I expected.

In the meantime, yes, definitely save the project before you add the ground points. For a while I was loading two "scenes," before- and after- ground points, and making mocaps with both to compare the results. Now that I'm relatively happy with my ground points, I'm just using that "scene."

I have the same question you do about fixing Logitech cams on a tripod. As it happens, I ordered a tripod for a mic for "The Beatles: Rock Band," and that tripod features an alligator clip to hold the mic. So I am now using it for mocap instead of the Fab Four. My second cam is on top of a widescreen TV in my room; as these cams are designed to fit over screens, it seems ok there. My third cam is on top of my computer monitor, also a flat screen display. I am surprised at the lack of hardware on these cams; even their built-in clips don't seem good for much. So yeah, I'm very interested in hearing what solutions others have developed.

I secured my logitech cams with a simple clear tape.

Yeah, a roll of tape is always handy on any project.

actually i am guessing now, it all depends on the video calibration you have.
I use a lot of clear tape too The Owll, I agree it does help.
For the tripod tip, yes I am also using tape and it works ,roughly, it is stable ,but I end up getting those 60 movies, psychodelic angles.
really need something more regular.
I found out by chance that one of my 4 tripods, called Platinum plus 7500Tm by Sunpak(the brand) has a removable head for handheld
camera and if you release it you can adapt The logitec 9000 pretty well, and you can fix it with tape, just in case someone stumbles over the
cam wire.but unfortunately , only one of my tripods have this dispositive.
i must say that Ipi recorder probably will be more robust and not to crash so much.we have to be very cautious with the usb adapter
mainly if you use a simple(not the most modern and updated) dual coresony Vaio notebook like me.

Mounting webcams on tripods can require some kind of do-it-yourself solution. I recommend using sticky tape, it is simple and quick. It helps if your tripods have removable heads. I remember someone on our forum recommended clamps like

but seems like they are not available in all countries.

I am in U.S.A right now so I think the clamps can maybe help.Stick tape , I am already using.
Congratulations on the newest release of IPiI Recorder.i am trying, and it is far more stable, and codec problem free.

I finally managed a good calibration run and then immediately hit this issue, but I found that it was a visual artefact and wasn't actually changing the camera settings - I cycled through the camera views and they were all normal. Hopefully it's a small UI bug and that's what is affecting your ground point selection as well.

It happened each time I selected more ground points or autodetected them as well, and each time a change of camera views sorted it.

Can you post a screen shot of this good calibration run? Do you mean like "all green" markers?
