Hi! I have some troubles with my Usb cards. I use 8 ps eyes and have now a mix between the mainboard usbs, and 2 quite old usb cards. one of the cards always makes trouble (there are no new drivers...). So I want to buy new cards. Are there any recommendations which work solid?

Thank you!

For PS Eyes, I usually recommend to get any card based on NEC USB 3.0 chipset. No problems with PS Eyes and NEC uPD720200 built-in my motherboard.
There's one specific card mentioned here in the forum specifically for 8 cameras setup:

I suppose, this one, but you may check with the original post's author.

Thank you :) I think I'll go with another NEC (already use one, works fine). The other card was a via 6212l and as I've seen on the page this is probably the worst garbage you could get :D Anther thought was why not simply connect 2 x USB 2.0 by a hub and go with that through one USB 3.0? I tried it, but it didn't work (always had framerates at 58fps). Shouldn't USB 3.0 have enough bandwidth for 2 cameras? Thanks

USB 2.0 devices work with USB 3.0 controllers in backward compatibility mode, so they are limited to USB 2.0 bandwidth. Single USB controller is capable of handling 2 PS Eye cameras at 60 fps. But when connected with a hub, I suppose the hub itself can drain some bandwidth.
