I have captured some movement with ipi recorder.

Now I want to import in ipi studio. But when I try to open the .avi files IPI studio give me this error:



Can you help me please. I Must do an animation asap for an advertissement and can't continue without ipi...

Here his teh message in english : "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that memory is corrupt."

But I have solved this issue just now.

I have installed the xp codec pack and it works now.

I had the same error. I partially solved it installing the xpcodec pack also, unfortunately it only solves half the problem:
the first error message doesn't come up anymore, but I get this one instead:

"cannot open video: incorrect video frame indexing. Please fix indexing or convert the video to uncompressed AVI."
(trouble is, I get that message even when the video IS uncompressed AVI).
I see that ipi Studio got slightly further in the process because it switched the viewport to the pale blue background and the blue 3d character in the T pose - but as soon as that appears, the message I just mentionned appears.
Once I click Ok, I get "application will shut down now because of unrecoverable error".

I understand you're working on this whole issue... but meanwhile is there any fix I can apply to get started?
In the future - May I suggest the option to import image sequences instead of AVIs? (TIFs or Jpegs or DPX or whatever?)
The whole windows codec headache seems to never get any easier... and image sequences are always something to fall back on.

Look forward to trying ipi studio. This looks so promising.
