I am getting very slow fps using 3 Logitech 9000 cameras and iPi Recorder. 8 to 10 fps.
Computer is a 2.6gz Athlon Xp 64 dual core 5000+ 2gb ram Geforce 9500 gt with 1gb ddr2 running Vista 32bit
I have the same performance on a 1.6gz netbook with 1gb of ram running Xp32.
Any suggestions?

When running iPi recorder do I need to keep the Logitech software running to adjust focus and brightness etc for the first calibration? If so how do I tell it to pick a camera? It only adjusts camera 3.
One suggestion for iPi recorder is to allow placement of cameras on the screen. Right now I can't switch camera 2 and 3. Would make it easier for visualizing what is going on.

Also on the calibration software the pictures from the cameras will not work. I guess they need to be 16 bit or 2 bit not 32bit 24 bit or 8 bit like most software converts to. Is this correct?

Anyone got this to work yet?

Low FPS is most probably caused by camera settings and has nothing to dealwith your CPU.
Please make sure you have RightLight disabled. Then manually set exposure to proper level.

In Logitech camera controls you can select camera by going to Advanced Settings-> Camera Selector.
I highly recommend downloading latest camera drivers - Logitech fixed lots of driver bugs recently.

We will implement camera switching in future versions.

Can you please show your camera calibration images (photos of calibration pattern)?

By the way, if you are using QuickCam Pro 9000 then your camera field of view should be 75 degrees diagonal.

I have the latest Logitech and video drivers. All windows updates are current.
All settings for all 3 cameras are set to manual or off. I am getting a steady 5 fps. I tried 320x240 and 160x120 same 5 fps. I restarted iPi recorder to see if that made a difference. It didn't. I know you said cpu doesn't matter. I am only using 20% cpu and 35% memory. Where is the bottleneck?
When I first start the computer and program I get 30 fps. But it quickly dies to 5 fps.
Turned off antivirus and all unused process. No change.

Pictures for calibration are now working in Vista. I had problems with them in XP for some reason. If I use that XP computer again and have problems I will upload the problem pictures.
With only one camera iPi recorder only shows 15 fps max. All camera settings manual or off. 320x240

I think the problem is caused by your Exposure setting.
You should use shorter exposure to get higher framerate.
