When I first installed iPi DMC in my brand new PC, it can track every frame within 5 secs each frame so I got the results much faster. After installing a few more software and added files. My latest track went up to 9 secs almost to 10 per frame. So tracking became twice as long compared before. Looks like the other stuff I installed bogged down DMC. What do I need to do to return it to its former speed? |

Do you have applications like GPUz or RivaTuner running in background? Such applications install low-level video drivers and may degrade your GPU performance. Can you please let us know what video card do you have (exact model)? Latest version of iPi Studio is optimized for fast video cards (like GeForce GTX 260 or better) - more processing is moved from CPU to GPU. New version is faster on fast cards and slower on slow cards. If you have a slow video card, we recommend upgrading to faster card. Mid-range cards like GeForce GTX 260 are not very expensive and perform well. If you look for top performance, consider upgrading to upcoming NVIDIA GeForce Fermi (GTX 480) video card. NVIDIA promised to release it in March. Due to architectural changes, GTX 480 performance with iPi Studio is expected to be dramatically better then any existing NVIDIA or ATI cards. |

My VGA says: NIVIDIA GeForce GT230 1.5 GB I think I know the reason. It appears iPi DMC is slowing down when it fails to track some of the limbs. Looks like there is nothing I can do about it but anyway how is my video card? |

I processed frames at 5 to 6 seconds each with a GTX260. I upgraded to a GTX285 and it's now running 2.3 to 2.8s a frame, a nice improvement :) The hires pass is currently running at 4s a frame with the GTX285. Be aware the 295 series is a step back for us as it's two 275s SLI'd in one box, and IPI soft will only use one of the GPUs, so it'll be like having a GT275. |

With the new GeForce GTX 480, tracking can be much faster (due to architectural improvements). GTX 470 is probably also very fast. Support for multi-GPU cards is being worked on but it's a complex feature and it will take us a few months to implement it. |
