I captured a Series of videos (about 15) to do an indepth test of
IPISofts motion capture software. My Main computer crashed so I decided
to upgrade to Windows 7 64. I get this error now.

Cannot open video: incorrect video frame indexing. Please fix indexing or convert the video to unbcompressed avi.

What happened.. They play fine through Windows Media.

Any Suggestions.

Thanks
Hal

A workaround is to convert the file to uncompressed AVI.

VirtualDub ( http://www.virtualdub.org ) can be used for conversion. VirtualDub is free.

I was able to duplicate the same error message when I tried to use a multi-core GPU card. I tried opening the same captured file using an i5 PC with an Nvidia GX570 and it worked perfectly. I have not completed all varible testing to confirm this possibility but it is my opinion that professional grade gpu cards may actually be a detriment, as well as expensive.

This can be a problem with video codecs on your computer:

I have the same problem.

No matter which video I try to open in ipi-soft, I get a error Message, so that I cannot open any video.

I used virtualdub to decompress the video file, but it did not help.

Then I wrote in the command probt " regsvr32 quartz.dl " , but I still cannot open any video.

I use:
- ipsoft Version 1.2.0.117
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU 3.10 GHz
- Windows 7 64-bit
- nVidia Quadro 4000

Can you please help me ?

Hi. You never need to compress nor decompress your captured video. Please let me know what type and how many cameras you used with iPiRecorder to capture the motion; the path to the location you saved the file; and the version of both Recorder and Studio you are using. I am sure I can get you going with this data. Jake
