I'm running into odd alignment issues for reasons that presently don't seem obvious to me. This image http://www.flickr.com/photos/52846287@N08/4875835459/ shows an example of a recent problem when my left leg over the course of 10 frames tracks away from the footage. I'm concerned that these kind of problems occur due to my shooting area and the noise in the carpet. Any advice would be appreciated, thx.

two suggestions:
1) Is "Enable foot tracking" checkbox turned on? If yes, then it can denote the problems with ground plane. In this case check your calibration or try to track without "Enable foot tracking" option.
2) How did you choose value of actors height? It is reasonable to experiment with slightly different values (in range +/- 10 cm from actual actors height).

Could you share source performance video and results of calibration (*.scene.xml file)?
