Hi, i have some problems trying to get to 30 FPS.

I have 2 Microsoft Lifecam Show than can run at 30 fps with Microsoft Software, but when i open Ipi Recorder, it can't recognize it, it pop up with an "unknown" error.

If i uninstall the LifeCam softwares, and let my Win 7 (64x) install it automatically, ipi recorder recognize it perfectly, but only at 15 FPS EACH camera...

with lifecam drivers and software installed: 30 fps but IPi recorder or any other software of video recording cant find the video capture device.

Without Lifecam drivers and software installed: 15 fps and any software can run it.

Some help? please! :(

PD: I've already recorded some videos at 15 fps in Ipi recorder without Lifecam drivers, but i need the 30 fps,. By the way... sorry for the bad English.

Other users have tried Lifecam cameras a while back and I think it was determined that they are incompatible with iPi Recorder. (Do search for 'lifecam' in these forums for details.)

For direct capture with web cams, it's highly recommended that you go with PS3 Eye cameras. The frame rate for the PS3 Eye camera can be as high as 60fps and these cameras are much easier to set up and use than other 'web cam' type cameras. They are also typically cheaper than most web cameras. I used to use the Logitech cameras but after switching to PS3 Eye cameras, I gave the Logictech cameras away. By comparison, the Logitech web cameras were very finicky and the results were not nearly as good as PS3. PS3 Eye cameras, on the other hand, are literally 'plug-and-play' and the quality can be very if you use them appropriately.

Alternatively, there is Kinect, which is even easier to use than the Eye cameras (though not as flexible as using multiple Eye cameras.)

As far as i get, Lifecam "HD" (like cinema or Studio, there's a case with the HD lifecam at this forum) cameras are not compatible with Ipi recorder because they only support a 16:9 resolution, but LifeCam Show is a older version of these cameras, and Don't support wide screen resolution, only full screen (640*480).

and I've already recorded some videos in Ipi recorder with these cameras, but only at 15 fps with default drivers, i hope than there's a way to put them to 30 fps (possible with drivers installed, but it's weird than Ipi don't recognize it).
