Hi there :)

I can't use PSEye with USB3.0 Intarface-Card.

I connected one of PSEye to USB3.0 port.
Then Device Manager only show as [Renesas Electronics USB 2.0 Hub] .

To use the PSEye with USB3.0 What should I do?

Here is specification of my recording PC.
------------------------------------------
CPU : Intel Core i7-870
M/B : GIGABYTE GA-H57M-USB3 (H57)
MEM : DDR3-1333-2GB x2 (4GB)
VGA : GeForce8600G
HDD : SATA-500GB
O S : Windows XP pro
USB3.0 : NEC USB3.0 chipset (M/B Onboard)
iPi Recorder : Ver. 1.4.0.75
------------------------------------------

The USB3.0 driver version is "2.0.30.0".
Device Manager show as [Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller] and [Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub]

I can get the PS3 cameras to work with my USB 3.0 card. Sorry this isn't much help but just so you know, it should work.

Hi,

I just want to be sure I understand you. Are you saying the PS3 camera isn't working at all with this card, or is it that it shows up as a USB 2.0 device in Device Manager?

If it's the latter, then I believe that's normal; you may only see USB 3.0 when you plug-in an actual USB 3.0 device. Just to be sure, I'll check my system at home tonight and let you know what I see.

Unfortunately, it is the former :(
PSEye isn't work on any USB3.0 ports.
PSEye not appear as a camera.
Without knowing why appears as "Renesas Electronics USB 2.0 Hub" in Device Manager.

However, I can use PSEye when connect it to USB2.0 card(VIA VT6214L) .
And I can see "ipi winUSB Dirver for PlayStation3 Eye Camera" in Device Manager.

hmm,,,

Hi there,
and thank you for reply Greenlaw.

Finally I solved this problem.

It became a conclusion that the cause was a Model Number of PSEye.
It was "SLEH-00201 (USB Camera-B3.04.06.1)" that I bought first.

I got PSEye of another model number.
That Model Number is "SLEH-00448 (USB Camera-B4.09.24.1)".
Then, I got a "ipi winUSB Dirver for PlayStation3 Eye Camera" with USB3.0 in Device Manager.

Whether this is a peculiar problem to Japan is not understood.
I think that this information becomes everyone's help.

I'll post here if I got anything else.

Thanks,
ありがとう
