I am trying IPI Video Recorder with the Kinect Sensor. On my desktop it works just fine, the kinect lamp is green all the time. But when I try it on my laptop (Sony Vaio, Core i7 3 GHZ, 6 GB Ram, Windows 7, 1gb nVidia Geforce 230) the device is recognized but as soonas I run the software and selec tthe kinect camer and press OK the software shows one frame of video and then hangs until I disconnect the Kinect Sensor (during whihc time the lamp is orange on the Sensor). What is the reason for this? |

This can be a problem with USB port. Please try connecting to a different USB port. Another possible problem is a bug in driver. Our Kinect support is still in beta status and we are about to release a new version of iPiRecorder in a short time from now. The update may resolve the problem. The following information may help us to debug the problem: 1) your operating system version? 2) do you connect the device through a USB hub? |

Its Windows 7 on both machines. I don't think its a USB port issue, I tried in both USB pots on my laptop and its the same. Also, I am not using a hub. |
