Hi,

I just downloaded trial version, registered it and got the message: "Your videocard does not support Shader Model 4.0. This application can only run on SM4.9 capable hardware".

I intend to upgrade it on next weeks, will I till have my trial version for 30 days (now program just coloses after the notice)?

Hi,

I understand your problem. We will change our software so that your trial period starts from the time when you actually can run it, not from the time when you tried running it on incompatible hardware.

We fixed the problem with trial period.

But you still need SM 4.0 compatible video card to run the software. Unfortunately, it is not possible to port this software to older video cards.

You can get latest version using autoupdate.

So this software only supports Vista and SM4.x cards? You might want to post the system requirements somewhere on your site. Or did I miss them?

Unfortunately this puts the software out of reach for me. Drat. I had wanted to try it out. I'll have to remember to come back when I upgrade my laptop down the road...

I must say that I'm quite surprised by this. So you're actually using the GPU to do the processing? Interesting, if limiting.

I'm running this on XP-SP3 with a Geforce 8600 GT just fine. No problems. This is a 3 year old card, heck, I didn't even know it supported SM4.

I wonder if my GT6800 will work?

We support Windows XP too, but you still need SM4.0 compatible video card (like Geforce 8 series and up or Radeon HD 2000 series and up). Many Quadros and FireGL cards should work, too.

There are system requirements on our "Products" page:

http://www.ipisoft.com/products.php

We recommend monster cards like GTX285 or RAdeon HD 4890 because markerless motion capture is a real GPU hog.
