Is this still a bug? Has it been dealt with?

The export seems geared for the old version of Blender 2.49b, the new versions of Blender 2.6+ import bvh by default expects the rig to be -Z Forward, Y Yp, but you can change this to Y forward Z Up in the import settings. The only bad thing about this method is if you prefer to do some clean-up in bvhacker then your figure is half in the floor and editing work is a bit more of a pain you have to turn off the ground plane and get funky with the camera, but re-orienting into Blender in the new version is not very difficult.

It would be great to have the choice between exporting the Blender Figure in 2.49b orientation or 2.6+

I'd honestly like to work with my custom rig, but sadly when you go into edit mode the rig completely loses its orientation.

Can someone assist me with Blender? When ever i import my file to blender and try and bind it to my rig, its totally stuffed.

Here is a screengrab:

The upper body is fine, but the lower body is the opposite direction and when i go to try and use the Fix twist button, nothing changes

Any help or support would be appreciated.

To a_haouchar
I think the bone axes on your rig and on ipi-soft standard rig are different. Change bone axes in your rig (Crtl+R in edit mode)/
