Howdy folks, I am getting reports of confusion Regarding iPiSofts reccomendations.

Not sure linking the entire guide is useful. Which recommendations specifically are you referring to?

I've found plenty of these sorts of mismatches in guides found on the site, but I believe part of the problem stems from some of the factors (lighting, camera placement, etc.) that go into recording being highly variable.

Plus the fact that iPi DMC has continued to evolve every few months makes it hard to pin down hard and fast rules for optimal use. The software is quite a different animal from what I started with three or so years ago--the hardware requirements and procedures have changed significantly, and I know some my past suggestions are obsolete now.

While I agree that the official FAQ, Wiki and user guide needs to be revised for current info, I have a feeling that the staff may be too preoccupied with an upcoming software update. (This is only speculation--I don't have any real knowledge of what goes on at iPi Soft.)
