Not sure linking the entire guide is useful. Which recommendations specifically are you referring to? I've found plenty of these sorts of mismatches in guides found on the site, but I believe part of the problem stems from some of the factors (lighting, camera placement, etc.) that go into recording being highly variable. |

Plus the fact that iPi DMC has continued to evolve every few months makes it hard to pin down hard and fast rules for optimal use. The software is quite a different animal from what I started with three or so years ago--the hardware requirements and procedures have changed significantly, and I know some my past suggestions are obsolete now. While I agree that the official FAQ, Wiki and user guide needs to be revised for current info, I have a feeling that the staff may be too preoccupied with an upcoming software update. (This is only speculation--I don't have any real knowledge of what goes on at iPi Soft.) G. |
