I came across this program earlier today, and so far it works great. I have bee experimenting with my kinect and everything seems to work great. (have been using the trial so far)
However, the tracking takes about 8 seconds per frame on my notebook. I believe this is because the programs uses the wrong gpu.
Specs: Intel i7 2630qm 2.00ghz 6 gb ddr3 sodimm ram Nvidia gt 555m 2gb
The notebook uses Nvidi optimus technology. It switches between an onboard gpu and the gt555m based on the usage. There is no way to manually turn the gt555m on, because it's all automatic. For most software and video games this works 100% fine. You can however right click and .exe file to "execute with Nvidia gpu" if that program for some reason doesnt trigger the switch.
Well here's my problem Ipisoft motion capture doesn't trigger the gpu switch, so it runs on a really weak onboard gpu. But it doesn't use a .exe, it uses .aplication extension and therefore i can't manually tell the program to use the better gpu.
I did found an ipisoft.exe file hidden somewhere in AppData, but it's recognized
So do you have any experience regarding your program and the nvidia optimus technology? Or is there a real executable somewhere so i can use my gpu manually?
