Ive read that your software didnt run on a mac with VMware, is this still the case? As I can get it to run, but only see the kinetic microphone and not the sensors

Thanks

There are the following aspects:
  • iPi Recorder communicates with multiple devices using USB at the top of USB 2.0 bandwidth possibilities. As a rule, proxy drivers for USB which are used in virtual machines are not powerful enough to provide such performance and all required USB features.
  • iPi Mocap Studio heavy uses GPU for calculations. It requires hardware support for most of DirectX 10 features. There again, proxy drivers for video cards which are used in virtual machines are not implement all of required features. We heard that Parallels have some progress in this aspect of their virtual machine, but we didn't check it yet.
As a result, direct usage of hardware rather than through proxy virtual machine drivers is required. Thus we still recommend to boot directly to Windows using Bootcamp or similar technologies.
