Hi
Do you use active USB cable (aka repeater), as it is recommended? Long (from 5m) passive cables may not provide enough signal strength.

I like to use these USB repeater (active) cables:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6812224004

I regularly daisy-chain two of these to extend connections to 32 ft plus the length of the Kinect cable, from our computer room to the living room. In the past I've daisy-chained up to three of them to a PS3 Eye and it worked just fine. Supposedly, you can link up to five of these cables and still have a good signal but I've never needed a connection that long.

Hope this helps.

G.
