Hi, I was wondering, when I capture at 60 fps I get all that pretty detail. But when I work on movies where I need 25 or 30 fps I have to reduce my framerate. I'm afraid I lose detail by simply retiming my baked characters. Isn't there some "intelligent" way to convert my 60fps Mocap to let's say 25 directly in iPi, some algorithm that's aware of keeping detail? Thanks :)

Hi
Currently you cannot change the frame rate inside iPi Mocap Studio.

Ok so which way is best, should ich convert it directly to 25fps before retargeting/cleaning or is it better to do all the cleaning/retargeting on 60 fps and timescale the final animation? Thanks

If you are talking about cleanup/retargeting in iPi Mocap Studio, then you only have the option to resample an animation afterwards.
If you do cleanup/retargeting in other (animation) software, then the result may depend on this software. Just try both options and choose what you are satisfied with.

If you know the target frame rate before taking video shots, you can choose the video mode in iPi Recorder so it has the same or doubled frame rate. I.e. for target 25fps select 25/50Hz mode, for target 30fps select 30/60Hz mode. Doubled frame rate will retain more details for tracking accuracy, and will not require interpolation during resampling.
