i'm trying to track my footage, which I recorded with four PS eye cameras. The calibration looks fine in my opinion, but I have no luck tracking the footage. After the t-pose the tracking is way off. Am I moving too fast ;-) or maybe the lights are too bright? I recorded the footage at 25 Hz because the framerate at higher Hz settings was too low. Do I need better hardware? All of the four cameras are installed at 3 meters above the ground.

lighting conditions are not perfect (clothes color in Camera 2 are much darker than in Camera 1). This is not good for tracking.
However, as soon as even "Refit pose" in T-pose does not work, the problem may still be in calibration.
- Are you sure scale was set correctly (Actor with height 2 meters fits the video)
- Are you sure cameras were not moved after calibration is completed
- Are you sure all cameras were in "Wide angle" mode (blue LED light on camera)

thanks for your quick reply. i'm working with a_s together on this project and he's probably still asleep so i'm gonna answer your questions ;-)
So within the calibration everything seems to look fine.
All cameras were on wide angle and are fixed to the ceilling so they couldn't be moved.

Hello, we checked your calibration.
It is fine, except that (maybe) scale is set not very precisely.
You need to be sure that actual camera heights over ground equal to heights you see in your calibration project. Please check this.
I managed to align actor model with video.
- Ran "Analyze actor appearance" on "Actor" tab.
- Aligned model with video manually
- Made legs far apart from each other (in default position they are closer).

After proper alignment tracking start working, but aligning was too difficult (should be much more tolerant to initial misalignment), and tracking errors occurred.

I think the main reason for that is lighting conditions. In cameras 2, 4 colors are much darker than in cameras 1, 3. This confuses tracking a lot. If you manage to set-up lighting so that color of clothes will be the same in all cameras, life will become much easier for tracking. Also, using a T-shirt of bright color (light red or blue) will help a lot. This will ensure better contrast of torso with background and pants.

As to lighting, in your case it would be better to use lamps at the ceiling which will not be directed to cameras.
