Hi, I'm trying to retarget the base ipi skeleton to my own that I imported. I am retargeting using the import target character feature directly inside the ipi studio. Up to here, everything is ok. However, the problem I am encountering is that my custom imported skeleton (which uses IK controls) has a root joint which seems to be causing problems when I then import my animation in Maya. The whole character translates instead of staying at the correct root position. I'm not quite sure how to resolve this so I was wondering is there was anyone who might have had the same issue? Here are the two skeletons inside the ipi studio and you will notice that my imported skeleton has an extra root bone under the pelvis. (I apologize for the compression artifacts) Attachment: ipi2.gif [ 650.94 KiB | Viewed 14107 times ] Thanks! |

Maybe you should try to map 'Hips' to your root joint instead of 'Pelvis'. |
