| Post subject: | IPI 3 Crash/Corrupt Save Issue |
In the last week or so, I've been running into an issue where IPI randomly crashes. When I try to re-open the save file that I was working from, it opens just fine -- but when I try to save it again it tells me I don't have permission to save a file of the same name. From there, it either crashes again or tells me I don't have permission to access it. Renaming to a different save name doesn't seem to help the issue. I basically have to start from scratch. It doesn't do this on every file, just some files, and I can't seem to find the rhyme or reason for it. I've never had this issue before and it's been maddening, as I am using this program almost every day. Any help? |

Such things may happen when, for example, files are written to a disk under admin user on one PC and then accessed by non-admin user on another PC. The same applies to different OS installations on a single PC. |

Hello Pwnocchio, To check this guess you can try the following: run iPi Mocap Studio with admin rights by right clicking on iPi Mocap Studio icon on the desktop and selecting Run as administrator menu item. If the issue will disappear then the root of your troubles is in the file rights. You can manually change these rights by right clicking on the file in the Windows File Explorer, choosing Properties menu item, switching to Security tab in the Properties dialog, then please follow to this instruction: http://tipsandtricksforum.com/thread-229.html If it doesn't help, you can also try to uninstall iPi Shell Extension for Project Files from Program and Features. |
