Its taking 3+ hours in order to process like 15 seconds video , my system is core i3 3120m , 6gigs ram ,intel hd 4000. Also in the task manager its only using 10-13% cpu. |

Mocap Studio mainly uses GPU for processing. Therefore an integrated GPU like yours is a bad choice. Even mid-range discrete GPU will provide much better performance. See performance charts on our website for different GPU models: http://ipisoft.com/pr/GPU_speed_data.pdf |

You cannot get high performance for Mocap Studio on your current laptop. Use another PC with discrete graphics - either laptop or desktop. Desktops GPUs provide better performance/price ratio. Top-range gaming video cards are the best option for processing. |

vmaslov already explained this but I just wanted to add that many users with laptops only use it for recording, and they will use a desktop with a modern graphics card with GPU for tracking. IMO, if you're serious about using Mocap Studio, I suggest getting a computer (preferably a desktop) with a good graphics card with GPU. Tracking times on a computer with a modern graphics card with GPU can be multiple frames per second instead of several seconds per frame on a computer without an adequate card. For example, I'm still using a fairly old desktop computer with a GTX 460 card, and each frame takes about 0.65 second to process. Even with this modest setup, tracking 14 seconds of multicamera footage should only take about 5 min. That's not nearly the fast speeds available by today's standards but it's certainly usable for production work. In fact, today's graphics cards can deliver even faster speeds for much less than what I paid for the GTX 460 four or five years ago. (Wow, I really do need to upgrade my gear.) :p Hope this helps clarify the importance of having a GPU for Mocap Studio. G. |
