Hello :) First of all, thanks for this great tool, it's really nice to work with and makes animation way faster and easier! That being said, I managed to get some animation with 6 PS Eyes setup, exported it in .bvh and then set it on my biped in 3ds max, but now I have some skinning issue on the torso and the armpits... I used the new heatmap skinning mode from Max 2016 extension 1, but I don't figure out how to get the good deformations on the chest... Here's what I came up with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X-BI5VzcP8 Any ideas on how to fix that? I can share with you the file if you want to check it :) |

Fixed it manually, but if anyone knows a way to do it faster with auto or semi-auto tools, let me know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lteyy7ZeujE |

... Generally, no auto weighting works 100% ever, but I haven't used the tool you stated either to comment, I use 3DS 2014. Looks like the first video the chest verts were weighted to the upper arm bone too, you can go into weights for the bones it does that and just take upper arm,(or whatever bones), to 0 or much less, sometimes it is nice to have the upper arm influence the side chest verts slightly, depending on character. Seems you got it better, so good work. I was wondering why the animation seems to be slowed down on the video, looks like the jump is floating a bit, was that done on purpose? iPi Studio with PS Eyes doesn't do that by default, did you use a smoothing filter, or changed the curves in 3D Max? Just curious. ... |
