Hey guys,

I recently used the trial period to test ipisoft with dual kinect v2s and was satisfied with the results however wasnt able to test how much filming area was available (I know it says 2.5-2m for a single camera but wasn't sure if the dual setup added space)

I'm considering purchasing the azure kinects and if they add more filming area I be more inclined to do so. I'll be capturing for video game animations so Ill need to make walk and run loops and not sure if I can pull it off.

Any input will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

More cameras do not add capture space as an actor should be visible in all cams simultaneously. And it's more or less the same for both Kinect models - about 2.5x2.5 meters. Probably slightly more for Azure Kinect due to its wider view angle (an actor can get a bit closer to a camera).
If you need to capture extended motions consider using RGB cameras (PS eye is the cheapest option). The process with RGB cameras is more complicated though.

Thanks for the response.

I was hoping to avoid the RGB because they are more complicated but it looks like I might have to bite the bullet. At least they are cheap.

Thanks!
