Ipi Soft sometimes mixes my torso with my hands, because I use a black long sleeve + my PS3 Eye camera placement isn't perfect.

So I had this idea to help the software:
1) BLUE solid gloves.
2) Black T-shirt over GREEN sleeves.

However, I found this official information: "iPi Desktop Motion Capture has an option of using T-shirt over long-sleeve shirt for actor clothing. However, simple long-sleeve shirt may result in more accurate motion capture."
https://wiki.ipisoft.com/Environment_and_actor_clothing

I am confused now, why wouldn't colorful sleeves help to software?

Thanks for bringing attention to this. Indeed, using different colors for arms and torso should generally be beneficial for the tracking quality.
That note in the docs seems to be untouched since this option was recently added. It made perfect sense then but not now. Fixed the docs.

Thank you for your comment about the color of the sleeves.
Could you provide information about gloves too? I think people usually have this kind of gloves at home, but I have read in the forum that Ipi Soft doesn't track the color of hands. But Ipi Studio has settings for the color of hands. That's a little bit confusing.

There is a setting for hands color because people do have different colors of hands even when not wearing gloves. And setting a correct color for hands improves the tracking quality. Although it affects less than colors of larger body parts.
Wearing gloves may have a positive impact on the accuracy of tracking, but it won't be dramatic. Be sure not to use gloves of light colors as they will be a subject to shadows. And to set a different color for hands than for a face, uncheck "Hands are the same color a s face".

Mocap Studio doesn't track neither hand rotations nor hand poses optically. But it uses the hands color setting for its optical tracking. As for hand rotations, you can track them with the help of motion controllers. Hand poses can be keyframed.
