You don't need to calibrate the PS3 Eyes. Here's the FOV data from a post by Michael: Michael Nikonov wrote: PS Eye has a two-setting adjustable fixed focus zoom lens. Selected manually by rotating the lens barrel, the PlayStation Eye can be set to a 56-degree diagonal Field of View for close-up framing, or a 75-degree diagonal Field of View for long shot framing (default). Lens is 2.1 F-stop, <1% distortion, fixed focus (25cm to 8 at 75ยบ FOV). This is official information from Sony, confirmed by our own measurements. http://us.playstation.com/corporate/abo ... e/396.html Arrangement should be in a semi circular configuration. Distance depends on how much space you have available, and more importantly, far enough away from your subject so you capture all the action in all four cameras. really depends on how far the subject is. (iPi DMC can interpolate some off camera movement, but there are limits to this and it should be avoided.) Camera height was stated elsewhere at about 2 to 3 m I think, but this depends on how far the subject is. (For example, if the cameras are very close to the subject, 3 m would be way too high.) I think I also read that it's best to stagger the height. It's been several months since my last iPi Studio tests, but I'm finally getting back to it tonight. Can't wait to try out the new cameras and shooting space. I'll post my own walkthrough with the final results soon after. :) G. |
