Hi, I have bought ipi soft 2 or 3 days ago. I'm currently setting up the environment to do my motion capture. Now, is there possible to track 2 characters in the same video? Can I setup ipi soft to tarck the first character of the video, then save the motion, then tack the second and save the motion, then import the 2 motion in lightwave to have the 2 character animated? Thank you |

It may be possible as long as the actors do not occlude each other in the video recording. The DMC software needs to see the whole body shapes of the actors for accurate tracking. IMO, for multiple characters, I would carefully choreograph separate takes. This is what I've been doing for the Brudders short film, using music and video playback on a second computer to help synchronize the performances. Timing and interaction can be further improved using a mocap editing program like Animeeple and Motion Builder. G. |

Thank you Greenlaw, I understand the problem. But like you say, this can be do if the scene is not too much complex and we can care about the actors movement. This is exactly what I need. :0) I want to capture a music band. I think I can easily do a choregraphy that respect the problem that an actors can hide another. Thank you very much for your reply.
